The New Hudson School existed in various forms beginning in 1836 in the village of New Hudson, Lyon Township, Oakland County, Michigan. Today, the elementary aged children of New Hudson attend Ann L. Dolsen Elementary School located on the site where the first brick building was constructed in 1866. The mid 1940s brought great change to the school. The final graduating class received their diplomas in June 1946 and the school later consolidated with the neighboring South Lyon Union School in 1947.
